BRS AUXILIARY
ORGANIZATIONS
Sisterhood: Sisterhood is the
women's auxiliary arm of the Synagogue whose
goal is to help it financially by donating
funds from its projects that will beautify
the Synagogue and enhance its operations.
Sisterhood has programming geared for women
of all ages. Annual events include the
Luncheon, Tu'B'Shevat Seder, Shalach Manot
Purim baskets, Simchat Torah lunch.
There are periodic meetings with topics of
current interest to the membership. Annual
Membership is $18. For more information

Chesed Committee: The BRS Chessed
committee is comprised of volunteer members
who provide:

Tomchei
Shabbos: Discretely
provides food and other staples to
families in financial crisis on a bi-monthly
basis.
Nichum
Aveilim: Takes care of all
aspects of the shiva home, from preparing
the home for shiva (covering mirrors,
candle, chairs, siddurim, Torah)
to coordinating meals for the week of shiva.
Bikur
Cholim: Arranges visits to
those who are either hospitalized or home
bound. Additionally, we assist the family
with transportation, meals, and grocery
shopping as their individual needs
require.
Mazel Meals: Alleviates some of
the natural stress that comes with
childbirth by providing home cooked meals
for the new parents. We provide the meals
anytime during the first month home -
taking into consideration family and
outside support.

The chessed committee is in need of volunteers. To pledge

K.A.D.I.S.H.:
Keeping Alive
with Dedication the Interest
in, and the Study of the Holocaust.
The objectives of the K.A.D.I.S.H.
Holocaust Memorial and Learning Center are to
memorialize and commemorate the lives and
communities lost in the Holocaust; to conduct
educational programming about the Holocaust;
and to promote tolerance and fight bigotry
through a variety of programming events. For

Men's Club:
The men's social club meets
periodically on Sunday mornings. For more
information contact Joe Blumenthal, President.
